The following is not meant to be the usal heartfelt appel, made shortly before a vote to convince undecided voters to lean in favor. This is meant to reason with the idea of responsability.
First ew need to look at how we got here.
Over the years I have learned that democracy is not necessarily synonymus with peace, freedom, well-being and indeed most of the time it is a tool that stifles rather promotes these issues. And often when dissent arrises the State interferes inappropriately causing hostility and conflict.
The Scottish referendum for indipendence is a great opportunity to counter these issues.
And more then anything it is a chance for the Scottish people to express their view peacefully and gain full recognition as individuals;
until today they have lived as a "de facto" Nation, denied the existence of a differnt culture, language and customs.
(And if the Scots decide to remove their own politic-burocratic apparatus in favor of voluntary relations between free subjects it would be even better.)
